Ardiden (ASX: ADV) has confirmed a high-grade gold system at its Rouyn gold project in Québec, a significant development that validates the company's exploration strategy for the project.
The findings from Ardiden's first drill program at Rouyn cover 822 metres of the 15,000m diamond drilling program the company commenced at Rouyn in late January 2026.
Drilling is targeting extensions along strike and at depth, specifically at the Astoria target, which Ardiden selected as the starting point due to its existing resource base and strong potential for down-plunge resource growth.
The broader objective of this program is to test priority zones, enhance geological confidence, and support future resource growth at Rouyn.
Merger and Funding Supports Exploration
Ardiden recently completed its merger with Lac Gold, a strategic move that saw the company acquire 100% of the Rouyn project.
This consolidation is central to Ardiden's focus on the Québec gold assets.
To support its exploration activities and the merger, Ardiden successfully raised A$10 million through an equity placement in December 2025.
The company reported cash reserves of A$18.2 million as of 31 December 2025, providing a strong financial position for ongoing work.
Permitting and Stakeholder Engagement Progressing
An Authorisation to Intervene application has been submitted to the Québec government.
The receipt of this permitting is a key step, expected to unlock additional high-priority targets for future exploration at Rouyn.
Ardiden is actively engaging with local communities and First Nations, a crucial aspect of responsible resource development in the region.
This engagement includes community information sessions, ensuring transparent operations and strong local relationships.
Outlook
Ardiden's initial high-grade results from Rouyn provide a strong foundation, contingent on successful permitting and further drilling.
Continued execution on exploration and stakeholder engagement will be key to unlocking the project's full potential.
Managing director Andrew Stocks called the results "an excellent start to Ardiden's 2026 drilling campaign".
“Intersecting 16.1 grams per tonne over 7 metres, including a high-grade core of 78.7g/t, confirms the Astoria system continues to deliver high-grade intersections typical of Abitibi orogenic gold deposits," he added.
"Astoria forms part of our broader 6km Rouyn gold corridor, where multiple project areas remain open for systematic expansion”.
