Dotz Nano (ASX: DTZ) has announced three significant milestones in the build-out of its Dotz Energy decarbonisation and energy savings platform.

The company has secured a confidential letter of intent with Israeli climate tech startup Eneriqs AI covering a proposed technology licence and an option to acquire Eneriqs assets to help build and further develop the Dotz ChillerAI solution, which seeks to reduce electricity consumption in commercial and industrial cooling systems.

The Dotz board considered the Eneriqs opportunity applicable across buildings that typically operate a chiller such as hotels, shopping centres, offices, and data centres.

In addition to the initial ChillerAI target market, the boards intends to explore its application across these building types over time.

Dotz Nano has also secured its first commercial customer agreement for ChillerAI with Limassol shopping centre in Cyprus, comprising an initial 12-month pilot deployment with the potential to extend to five years.

Revenue-Sharing Agreement

Additionally, Dotz Nano has entered into a reseller and revenue-sharing agreement with Victorian integrated zero emissions company Bridgeford Group, appointing the company as a commercialisation and distribution partner for ChillerAI.

The partners will target 25 building customer contracts within the first 12 months, each expected to deliver estimated customer energy savings of approximately $40,000 per year.

Under the terms, Dotz and Bridgeford will be entitled to a shared savings fee of approximately 75% for an indicative total joint customer annual recurring revenue of $750,000.

ChillerAI’s pricing basis assumes energy savings of approximately 20% of a building’s annual chiller-related electricity expenditure—for a large commercial building, this spend can typically exceed $200,000 per year.

Cutting Energy Costs

Dotz Nano newly appointed chief executive officer Nati Harpaz said the three deals represented key milestones in the company’s progress.

“The Eneriqs technology adds an important new layer to our Dotz Energy decarbonisation and energy savings stack and, combined with ChillerAI and our shared-savings commercial model, it moves us closer to our vision of building a single platform that helps building owners and operators cut their energy costs and carbon emissions,” he said.

“Our first commercial pilot with Limassol is already showing real customers the value of ChillerAI and the Bridgeford agreement now gives us the commercial reach to bring that platform to market at scale.”

Mr Harpaz was appointed to lead the company in May, bringing deep commercial experience and a proven track record of scaling technology businesses.

He was previously chief executive officer of online retailer Catch Group—later sold to Wesfarmers (ASX: WES)—and has focused on investing in and supporting start-ups including software-as-a-service payment infrastructure company BridgerPay and deep-tech company Glasswing.
