Iltani Resources (ASX: ILT) has extended high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation in the Link Zone between Orient East and Orient West at its Orient silver-indium project in northern Queensland.

Latest reverse circulation drilling returned multiple material intersections outside the current Orient mineral resource, including a standout 13-metre interval grading 334 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 141m.

Within that interval, drilling returned 8m at 492g/t AgEq from 143m and 2m at 1,237g/t AgEq from 144m, with the latter carrying 531g/t silver, 112g/t indium, 10.3% lea and 5.7% zinc.

The Link Zone mineralisation has now been defined over 240m of strike to 145m depth from surface, while more than 400m of additional strike remains untested.

All Link Zone drilling sits outside the current resource, and the results will be incorporated into a mineral resource estimate update planned for the fourth quarter of this calendar year.

Link Zone Resource Upside

The current Orient mineral resource stands at 62.5 million tonnes grading 81.5g/t AgEq, comprising 38.8Mt in the Indicated category and 23.7Mt in the Inferred category.

Beyond the standout result, recent drilling included an 18m intersection grading 123g/t AgEq from 70m and a 3m interval at 220g/t AgEq from 155m, while another hole encountered only low-grade mineralisation.

Iltani reports material intersections using a 30g/t AgEq lower cut with no upper cut applied, and all reported intersection widths are downhole widths rather than true widths.

“The drilling has delivered multiple intersections of high-grade lead-silver-zinc-indium mineralisation within the Link Zone, and we believe this has the potential to translate into a material increase in the Orient mineral resource,” managing director Donald Garner said.

“We are already planning follow-up drilling to target and extend the Link Zone mineralisation, with the drilling expected to be underway before the wet season at the of 2026.”

Drilling Program Nearly Done

The current 110-hole program is nearing completion, with the track-mounted RC rig drilling the 97th hole and Iltani expecting the initial campaign to finish within two to three weeks.

Samples are being sent to the Intertek laboratory in Townsville every two to three days, with current assay turnaround times of about one to two months and further results still pending.

Once the program and outstanding assays are complete, the data will feed into the MRE update.

This in turn is intended to provide greater confidence for the Orient Scoping Study scheduled for early 2027.
