Solstice Minerals (ASX: SLS) has extended high-grade copper-gold mineralisation at its 100%-owned Nanadie copper-gold project in Western Australia to more than 700 metres below surface through its deepest diamond drilling to date.

The latest work returned a combined reverse circulation and diamond intercept of 722.3m at 0.44% copper and 0.13g/t gold, including unmineralised intervals, extending mineralisation more than 500m beneath the current mineral resource estimate boundary.

Multiple higher-grade zones sit within that broad mineralised envelope, providing further evidence that both scale and grade persist well below the limits of the existing MRE.

The results add depth to a mineralised system already defined over at least 1.2km of strike and approximately 100m to 200m in width, with the deposit remaining open to the north, south and at depth.

The deeper drilling intersected wide zones of mineralised and altered gabbro and dolerite, with copper-gold assays closely matching logged chalcopyrite (copper sulphide) mineralisation.

Depth Potential Building

Higher-grade intervals included substantial zones running above 1% copper alongside gold mineralisation, while the broader intercept remained mineralised from the western margin of the host gabbro through to the end of drilling.

Results from the latest deep work are comparable with those from earlier shallower drilling that returned a broad mineralised interval of 629.1m at 0.50% copper and 0.17g/t gold.

The combined drilling is beginning to define a higher-grade position towards the eastern margin of the host gabbro, where alteration and deformation zones appear to strengthen at depth and remain under-tested nearer surface.

“We now have strong drill-supported evidence that Nanadie is a rare, large-scale copper-gold system in an infrastructure-rich WA Goldfields setting with the potential to take Solstice beyond exploration,” chief executive officer Nick Castleden said.

“Our priority is to increase drilling density through this area and continue stepping down below the existing Resource, where the system remains completely open.”

“With a second RC rig due on site shortly, ongoing drilling across the broader system, and assays pending from a further 14 diamond tails and 20 RC holes, we have a substantial amount of news flow ahead of us.”

Drilling Campaign Continues

Nanadie currently hosts an Inferred MRE of 40.4 million tonnes at 0.4% copper and 0.1g/t gold, containing 162,000t of copper and 130,000 ounces of gold on a granted Mining Lease.

Approximately 90% of the MRE is fresh rock mineralisation below 40m depth, while zones above 1% copper occur where chalcopyrite vein density and host-rock alteration increase.

Solstice plans to accelerate both RC and diamond drilling following completion of expanded camp and core processing facilities, with a second RC rig due on site shortly and multiple rigs expected to operate through the balance of the year.

Assays are pending from a further 14 completed diamond holes and more than 20 RC holes, providing a substantial pipeline of results as drilling continues across the broader system.

The company has $45 million in cash and no debt and expects the program to expand into first drilling at the nearby Stark prospect, unexplored strike positions and emerging geophysical targets.
