White Cliff Minerals (ASX: WCN) has announced a 480% expansion to the Danvers 1 copper system within its Rae project in Canada after intersecting high-grade copper in widely spaced step-out drilling more than 2.5 kilometres northeast of the Danvers 1 core.
Copper mineralisation has now been identified over 4.75km of the interpreted Teshierpi structural corridor, compared with approximately 820m of strike tested around Danvers 1 during the 2025 program.
Best assay was 17m at 1.41% copper and 12 grams per tonne silver from 194m, collared 225m northeast of a 2025 hole that returned 64m at 0.89% copper including 9.14m at 2.65%
Another highlight was 14.5m at 1.49% copper from 166.5m, collared a further 1.1km northeast and including 3m at 3.96% copper and 18g/t silver from 169m.
The results have materially expanded the known scale of the system and strengthened the geological model being used to target zones of greater breccia development, width, and grade.
Accelerated Infill Drilling
Managing director Troy Whittaker said the latest assays had prompted White Cliff to fast-track the start of infill drilling at Danvers within the coming weeks.
“These assays have transformed the scale of Danvers 1 […], with strong grades returned in step-outs progressively farther north-east, demonstrating that high-grade copper is not confined to the original Danvers 1 core,” he said.
“Importantly, drilling is beginning to establish a repeatable geological relationship between structural architecture, magnetic response, breccia development and grade.”
“Oriented core is strengthening that model, giving us a more predictive framework for targeting the parts of the system with the greatest potential to develop width and higher grades.”
“We are now accelerating infill and depth drilling to test the substantial gaps between existing holes, target broader breccia development and begin converting this 4.75km trend into a more continuous geological and mineralisation model.”
Dual-Pronged Strategy
Drilling at Danvers is part of White Cliff’s dual-pronged strategy to expand the known surface area of the deposit while guiding exploration towards high-grade, high-tonnage sedimentary targets.
Recent digitisation of historical data along with the 2025 drilling campaign identified further copper mineralisation outside and below the previous estimate.
Mineralisation at Danvers 1 sits at 950m strike length, 375m of which represents the previously released non-JORC compliant estimate of 4.16 million tonnes grading 2.96% copper.
“Together with the recent depth extension at Danvers 3, the results are building a compelling picture of a large, high-grade copper system with clear future resource potential,” Mr Whittaker said.
